The Hawkes Bay Lawn Junior Open was completed recently with a full weekend of great competitive matches across all age groups from the under 10s to under 16s. The Term Four 2011 Junior programme is coming to an end shortly. We continue to develop many keen young players through the summer and winter months some with great potential. As the Regional Coach for Hawkes Bay I am in the middle of the second season of the new Regional Programme. This programme has accommodated for most of the regions top juniors. Some of whom have not only represented Hawkes Bay but Waikato Bays at national tournaments. The Two Tier structure allows our aspiring junior players to follow a path to develop their tennis as far as poissible.
SLAM SPORTS Hawkes Bay's only specialised Tennis & Squash Pro Shop at the Club is now in its second year. All major racquet brands like Babolat, Prince and Wilson are available with a full range of balls and accessories. Demos are available for you to TRY before you BUY. A full professional Stringing Service for Tennis, Squash and Badminton is always available at the club. If you have any racquet which needs a restring or require any advice please feel free to contact us.
